During the late summer in 2008, I taught a photography class for Light Work at the Central Village Boys and Girls Club in Syracuse, New York.

Imaging Women involved ten adolescent girls from various backgrounds. During our 11 session class, we took field-trips to the Rosomond Gifford Zoo, The Community Folk Gallery, Thorndon Park and The Everson Museum. We used classrooms at both Light Work and The Boys and Girls Club. This gave us the opportunity to explore with digital cameras and work in a professional digital darkroom.

The images you see here are a mixture of my documentation and the works made by my students.

This class was made possible by a grant from the Women's Fund of Central New York.
